

Day 1 –Arrival in Tbilisi

Day 2 – Mtskheta – Tbilisi city tour

Drive to Mtskheta, former capital of Georgia. Mtskheta is UNESCO heritage site located at the crossing of two rivers and the ancient trade routes. Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta is the splendid architectural monument and the first Christian church in Georgia (XI c). It is the burial site of Georgian monarchs of Bagrationi dynasty. Jesus Christ’s robe is believed to be buried inside as well. Visit Jvari Church (VIc) that stands on a hill overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and the Aragvi rivers.
Explore the historical neighborhood of Tbilisi Metekhi, Sioni and Anchiskhati churches stand next to soviet structures and new buildings of the President Palace, the Justice house, the famous Bridge of peace. Lift to Narikala fortress by cable car and visit the statue of Mother of Georgia, standing proudly next to the fortress. From Narikala walk down to Sulfur bath district constructed in the XVII-XVIII centuries under Islamic architectural style. The district is also called as “Abanotubani” where several, hot sulfur springs immerged. This place is legendary which gave birth to city life even before V century. Visit Waterfall near botanical garden. Then continue the tour to Chardin Street, famous pedestrian area aligned with international cafes, small shops and Gabriadze Puppet Theater with the clock tower. Continue tour to the main avenue of Shota Rustaveli (constructed in the XIX century) with the theatres, Museums, art galleries and Parliament building.

Day 3 – Gudauri – Kazbegi tour

Drive to Mtskheta-Tianeti region
On the way to Kazbegi you will make a stop in Ananuri and Zhinvali Reservoir for couple of minutes. Zhinvali, also Jinvali, is an artificial water reservoir located on the river Aragvi in Georgia. The building of the hydroelectric dam formed the Zhinvali Reservoir. The dam has been built in 1986. Water is perfectly blue color surrounded by mountains. Ananuri fortress is a sixteenth-century castle complex on the Aragvi River. The fortress stands beside the famous Georgian Military Highway, overlooking a large Zhinvali lake. The main church facade is beautifully carved with animal, floral and Celtic style patterns. Continue a stunning drive from Gudauri along the Tergi River that will bring you to Kazbegi – the main town in the region. It is the third-highest peak in Georgia (after Mount Shkhara and Janga) and the seventh-highest summit in the Caucasus Mountains. Kazbegi is also the second- highest volcanic summit in the Caucasus, after Mount Elbrus. The summit lies directly to the west of the town of Stepantsminda and is the most prominent geographic feature of the area. Mount Kazbegi is the highest peak of Eastern Georgia.
From Kazbegi we drive to Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170m. Weather permitting you may catch a glimpse of one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi (5047m).

Day 4 – Dashbashi canyon tour

Dashbashi Canyon is recently renovated. It is situated in Georgia’s Tsalka region, in Khrami river gorge. Dashbashi Canyon is located 110km from Tbilisi and is 1100-1500 meters above sea level. The length of the canyon is 8 kilometers, with moderately humid climate and quite high annual temperature range. It is a private investment which includes a 240-meter long glass bridge over the canyon, with a diamond-shaped cafe in the middle. There is a premium quality resort hotel with cottages in the area, also a Visitor Center, restaurant, swimming pools, a 1800-meter path to the canyon river, stunning views, campgrounds and a variety of infrastructure for perfect experiential recreation. Dashbashi canyon is one of the most impressive natural monuments of Georgia, green and beautiful all year long. We will hike about 40-45 minutes and enjoy breathtaking views of Dashbashi Canyon and its surroundings. With the length of 8 km and the height of several hundred meters, the canyon impresses with its natural beauty and unique ecosystem. Gorgeous waterfalls and underground waters, caves, majestic cliffs, all these open in front of your eyes in Dashbashi. The most spectacular sight of the canyon is the “weeping wall”, a cascade of small waterfalls along the rocks.
